we are an independent research institution in and for rural areas. as an association, we conduct socio-economic and transdisciplinary research. the core of our work is the scientific work with qualitative methods, participation processes and quantitative modelling and their links. we pursue a holistic and integrative approach: quality of life, immaterial factors, sustainability and alternative approaches are important to us. we are experienced in topics of technology and energy integration, economic and regional development, agricultural economics and sustainable mobility. methods such as surveys, data analyses and design thinking are our daily work.
