design is so much more than the aesthetically pleasing box you see, feel, touch and experience. design is about creating a beautiful space that meets and exceeds the client’s needs, desires, and program requirements and budget while designing to code and local jurisdiction requirements that allow for safe exiting, fire safety, and ada laws. my role is first to protect the health, safety, and well-being of the general public while experiencing a space- which says nothing about an aesthetically pleasing space. right? while colors, finishes, and furniture come into play to please the senses design starts inside the box!!
