Studio Balsa

balsa studio’s work is based firmly on the principles of experiential design to reattune one’s senses to the world—and one’s place in the natural order. playing with the materiality of light, shadow, and organic materials, balsa focuses on creating spaces whose textures come alive not only visually, but across senses, to foster a patient, contemplative mindset. in particular, balsa draws inspiration from sources such as wabi-sabi, post-minimalism, and traditional colombian tapestry that use raw and imperfect textures to reorient viewers in an open, natural landscape. balsa works to reclaim local elements within harmonious compositions that feel like natural refuges, calming antidotes to a busy world.
