hi, my name is shona. after 13 years working in the fast-paced world of marketing, i reached a point where i felt a yearning for a greater sense of fulfilment in my day-to-day life. i have practised pilates for more than a decade, but it was only after a brainstorm session with my husband when we moved from scotland to surrey a couple of years ago that the idea of teaching pilates was brought to the table as a serious conversation. it was an ambition that had been sitting on the back burner for a while, but it had never felt like the right time (i’ve since come to the realisation that there never is a right time - you just have to be brave enough to take the plunge!). fast-forward two years and i’m a fully qualified teacher with a diploma in teaching pilates accredited by the ymca. to me, pilates is about so much more than physical fitness – it is fuel for the mind, body and spirit. i have discovered a real passion for teaching and i’m excited to share my love of pilates with you a
