study higher is a network of higher education providers who work together to deliver collaborative, innovative, and targeted outreach initiatives to young people in berkshire, buckinghamshire, oxfordshire, and swindon, to inform them about future educational opportunities. study higher is part of the office for students uni connect programme which aims to promote social mobility by encouraging access to higher education for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. to increase participation in higher education by learners from particular target areas, we work closely with schools, colleges, community groups, local councils and other stakeholders to deliver inspirational and informative activities and events. we work with young people where there is: - low levels of participation in higher education overall - a ‘gap’ in higher education participation – i.e. participation in higher education is lower than would be expected given gcse attainment levels.
