Study Tour Charaka

study tour charaka is a study tour of 21 days to india for 30 students of biomedical engineering and technical medicine at the university of twente in the netherlands. they will be accompanied by 4 staff members of the university of twente in the netherlands. the study tour will take place in september 2014. preparations for this study tour will contain different lectures on india, and research on our theme for the study tour; medical tourism. the 30 participants of the study tour will perform research in the field of medical tourism in india, its effects on economy and health care systems. the results of the research will be presented in a final report and a symposium, supervised by staff members of the university of twente. the goals of the study tour are to create an understanding on the concept of medical tourism, and to compare the indian perspective with global and european perspectives. furthermore we want to create bilateral interest in working methods on (bio)medical techn
