Stuyvesant Speech & Debate

our speech and debate team at stuyvesant high school offers dozens of opportunities for students to participate in the national competitive circuit. we value and teach hard work, ambition, ethics, and the ability to participate in public discourse to make a difference. thus, our league motto is leadership through speech. ​ for the past thirty-five years, the stuyvesant debate team has been regarded as one of the best in the country with over two-hundred participants. our best speakers have placed highly in the top elimination rounds of virtually every competitive tournament available, in all events provided by the national speech and debate association.
