styrelsen for patientklager er en del af sundheds- og ældreministeriet. styrelsen blev etableret den 1. juli 2018 i forbindelse med regeringens udflytningsplan ”bedre balance ii”. vi er ca. 250 medarbejdere. vi er en arbejdsplads med stærke faglige miljøer og gode karrieremuligheder. den største faggruppe er jurister. men vi har også samfundsfaglige kandidater, kontorfunktionærer, sygeplejersker, læger og andre faggrupper ansat. derudover er der tilknyttet ca. 550 sagkyndige konsulenter, der dækker de sundhedsfaglige specialer inden for hele sundhedsområdet. styrelsen for patientklager er til for at sikre patienterne en mulighed for at klage over en sundhedsfaglig behandling, som de ikke er tilfredse med eller rettigheder, som de ikke oplever er blevet overholdt. styrelsen træffer også afgørelser vedrørende tilkendelse af erstatning for behandlings- og lægemiddelskader. styrelsens opgave er at sikre, at både dem, der klager, og dem, der klages over, bliver behandlet ordentligt,
