Su Wen

su wen is a dutch webshop with the awesomest unisex bow ties and hair bows. all bows are handmade in rotterdam, the netherlands. each piece is unique by its fabric, we only sell one or two of each design. su wen is the chinese translation of the designer and founders name, chok man. it all started with her creative blog: www.mannie.blogspot.nl, where she wrote some do-it-yourself articles. in one of the articles she wrote about how to make a hair bow. after she posted one of her hair bows online, people started to like it on facebook and began to share it with their friends. the girls got interested in the handmade hair bows and wanted to have one. after some sales, she was asked to have a stand at a local market organised by one of her friends. strangely enough not only women loved the colourful hair bows, the men were also! chok man realized there was a market for handmade bow ties. she sold via facebook, friends referrals and other design markets. with her passion for designing and
