subcoal international b.v. is a subsidiary of the n+p group the subcoal® technology is developed to make a high quality alternative fuel. next to the technology to produce subcoal®, subcoal international develops and manages ways to grind and dose the alternative fuels to various kiln and boiler systems. the subcoal® technology is used to turn non-recyclable paper-plastic waste fractions (such as rdf or paper reject) into a renewable fuel. unlike most biomass based fuels (e.g. wood pellets), subcoal® fuel is commercially used without the need for government subsidies. subcoal international is also actively developing new ways to use subcoal® in industrial processes. it has developed several patented ways to grind, dose and burn subcoal® to substitute primary fossil fuel. via these routes we have successfully increased substitution rates at cement and lime kilns. our fuel is also co-ground via coal mills (bowl or vertical roller mills), allowing easy substitution at power plants. one of
