the subcommittee for development cooperation is for everyone interested in improving the living conditions in developing countries. the subcommittee for development cooperation educates students about development aid, shows movies about the subject and organizes awareness drives, such as the development cooperation week. in addition, they support and follow the student union jyy’s own development project in rajasthan, india. the project kicked off in 2010. its purpose is to encourage the schooling of children, to raise the women’s awareness of their own rights and to empower the entire village. the students can help funding the project by buying development cooperation lunches in cafeteria ilokivi or by adding a voluntary development cooperation fee to the total sum whenever they pay their membership fee to the student union. if you are interested in working in a multicultural environment for a better, more equal world, jump in!
