substrata is a small development company. some technology keywords to give you an idea of what we're about: java ee, fast, solr & lucene, mongo db, couchdb, hadoop & the cascading framework, javascript frameworks like jquery, extjs and prototype. restful as well as xml-rpc based web services. we have extensive experience deploying complex services entirely in the cloud. apart from actually building stuff, we can also help you figure out *what* to build, why, and how. for the past 15 years or so, we've had the pleasure of contributing to some great stuff. we've also suffered setbacks and dealt with mistakes - whether our own or not. in short, we've been around the block and don't have a problem speaking our mind about what we feel makes good or bad business sense.
