creating great places where communities thrive. on behalf of the act government, we deliver people-focussed residential estates and urban renewal projects in canberra. the suburban land agency is responsible for delivering the act government’s suburban development program, including urban renewal in established town centres and suburbs. this comprises releases for residential, commercial, industrial, mixed use and community purposes. the suburban land agency seeks to encourage and promote inclusive communities through the delivery of people-focussed neighbourhoods. importantly, this includes the delivery of suburban development which supports: - affordable living; - a safe and healthy population; - social inclusion; - housing choice, and - environmental sustainability. it has responsibility to encourage and promote urban renewal outside declared urban renewal precincts, contribute to growth and diversification of the territory’s economy, and social and environment sustainability.
