Suffolk Fencing Academy

fencing has been a part of suffolk fencing academy owner anthony mattera's life for the past fifteen years. after fencing for newfield high school and st. john's university, holding the position of head coach for centereach high school, and officiating in local and regional competitions, coach mattera decided the sport of fencing was his true calling. in 2012, coach mattera opened the sachem fencing club, bringing the sport to one of the largest school districts in suffolk county. coach mattera realized his program was growing and he owed it to himself, and the suffolk county fencing community, to expand his program. after one year of planning, design, and construction, coach mattera has finally fulfilled his dream with the opening of the suffolk fencing academy, suffolk county's premier center for fencing instruction. the suffolk fencing academy slogan represents everyone and anyone who wants to go out there and achieve something special in their life, but there's only way to do it. a
