sugar mill montessori school was established in 1994, with the aim of providing a nurturing and academically enriched environment for young children. we are a ‘home away from home’, where parents can confidently entrust their children to qualified and nurturing adults; teachers who impart knowledge, social skills, and encouragement as children grow and develop at their own pace. we are a member of the american montessori society and collaborative for children. we were the 2002 recipient of the kathleen rowland award for excellence in leadership and innovation. smms is also the 2011 recipient of the schlumberger cares mega grant. our staff is committed to providing high quality education and care for all our students. our teachers are montessori trained and certified, and have experience working with young children. they are committed to upholding the montessori philosophy and methodology. they provide nurturing, supportive environments that help each individual child learn and reach hi
