sum+it enterprises was formed in 2017 after seeing a great need in the truss industry. over time, the pool of truss designers continued to be scarce amidst increasing competition. for many companies, bottlenecks in design prevented further sales due to the lag time in returning quotes and simply reaching their design limits. converting only 20 to 30 percent of quotes into orders meant that around half the time spent by design staff was wasted on quotes that never turned into jobs. recovering some of this time would then result in better customer service and increased design capacity. the sum+it web-based app addresses the lost design time in the quoting process. designers spend more time working on orders, while quotes are returned in a much shorter time frame. particularly where order capture rates are low, or when expanding sales territories with new prospects, sum+it provides the obvious solution.
