Summar Festivalur

the summer festival is a unique music event held in the centre of the town klaksvik in the faroe islands. in 2004 the festival started with one outdoor concert, a crowd of 3000 and a couple of smaller international bands. four years later the summer festival is the biggest music event in the faroe islands, the crowd has more than tripled, and the festival attracts big international bands. there have been many artists around the world that has headlined the festival and played at the summer festival. bands that have performed at the festival are for instance: westlife, scorpions, mika, ronan keating, brian mcfadden, roger hodgson, ken hensley, the rasmus, shakin’ stevens and many others.
