Summit Achievement

located in the beautiful white mountains region of maine, summit achievement, serves adolescent boys and girls, ages 13 to 20, from around the world. our innovative program combines the best features of a wilderness therapy program with the best features of a special-needs boarding school by integrating a residential community and academic instruction in a classroom setting with wilderness therapy. this creates an exciting program format that better facilitates the transition from back-country adventure activities to more traditional settings. through participation in engaging therapy, classroom academics and challenging wilderness expeditions, students learn to accept responsibility for personal decisions and past behaviors, address individual and family issues, and become invested in their future.
