summit art is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) juried membership and volunteer run organization. summit art members, who are from the kansas city metropolitan area, excel in the mediums of watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, mixed media, photography, glass, pottery, jewelry and digital art. our mission as a juried nonprofit organization is a commitment to providing exhibition opportunities, professional development and mentoring within lee’s summit and the surrounding communities and engaging the public through the support and creation of art. our vision is to create an environment for visual artists in which they can exhibit, sell, learn, interact with peers, build inner confidence and add value to business and community. our values are to respect and encourage an appreciation for art in an ethical and courteous manner. the summit art festival, our annual signature event, is held in historic downtown lee’s summit, mo in october. guest speakers at the monthly membership meetings are geared
