the first sdw product was created in 2015 while on an extended climbing trip along the west cost of canada. we went to purchase a new collar and leash and felt that the selection lacked any real "gear" with real applications for the outdoors. we decided to make a paracord collar for summie, and around 6 years later we were still getting compliments and comments... + the collar was still scent free and in great condition. this is when we knew we had something and started our product design. after 2 more years of careful design and rigorous testing, we launched summit dogwear. backing up to 2014, i was involved in a workplace accident that led to severe ptsd. summit was the service dog that saved my life and brought me back to my family. this eye-opening experience gave me some insight into the incredible impact these animals have on the people who need them. that is why every purchase donates to training service dogs! we now have a variety of paracord products and options, take a lo
