summit ecological consulting (sec) is a niche ecological & natural resources firm dedicated to providing a better project management experience for development companies and large environmental & engineering firms. in order to provide our services as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, we specialize in three key areas: bats, botany, and wetlands. our ceo (that’s chief ecology officer), jason whittle, is a federal endangered species recovery permit holder for the indiana bat and the northern long-eared bat across their ranges. as a result, sec is one of only a few ecological firms in the entire united states able to directly offer mist-netting, acoustic monitoring, and radio-telemetry surveys. our clients turn to sec when they need help navigating compliance issues or communicating with agency regulators. we’ve spent years managing projects involving a variety of habitats and species, and have cultivated productive working relationships with state and federal regulatory offici
