in 1989, mr. dodd started an environmental company in evansville, indiana. specializing in underground storage tank services and emergency response, he and his team were quickly able to use their knowledge and work ethic to gain the trust of customers such as coca-cola and csx transportation. mr. dodd's vision of a hybrid contracting company came to fruition in 1994 when his environmental company merged with a civil construction company. this merger provided resources and expertise necessary to fuel the growth of a large-scale remediation division, attracting additional customers such as inland paperboard & packaging and marathon petroleum. with many of the original team members on board, mr. dodd formed summit contracting in 1999, using the same hybrid environmental and specialty civil services model. this business model allows summit to offer clients a unique blend of services: 24-hour emergency response, remediation, industrial cleaning and specialty civil construction. today, with
