about serving the needs of our local merchants as we grow the local economy through events, historic preservation and education mission to promote and preserve the historic downtown as the heart of sumner. company overview began as the sumner promitions association , the sumner downtown association became the new name in march of 2007. the overall goal of sda is to engage in educational and charitable activities. description supported through an 9 person board of directors, and following the four point main street program: operations, design, economic restucturing and promotions. sda has two employees: a full time executive director: laurie miller and a part time administrative assistant/volunteer coordinator: patty pennel. all events and activities are not possible without our incredible volunteers. general information supports, hosts and sponsors annual monthly activities and festivals. acts as a liaison between the local merchants and the city of sumner. educates community on histor
