sunculture is on a mission to make high quality solar-powered irrigation available to all farmers globally. our agrosolar irrigation kit combines the cost-effectiveness of solar-powered water pumping with the efficiency of low-pressure drip irrigation to distribute water and fertilizer directly to crop roots, resulting in yield increases of up to 300% and water savings of up to 80%. the payback to the farmer is one three-month growing season — based on fuel, fertilizer, and labour savings, and crop yield increases. our business model is unique, we are the only “one stop shop” for smallholder farmers in east africa – no other irrigation company bundles solar technology with: agronomist technical expertise providing advice on seeds and inputs, customer financing, dedicated and rapid response customer support, and secured markets for produce. this value chain based, market driven, nexus approach addresses all the barriers smallholder farmers typically face in adoption of new technologies
