Sunday's Label

growing up in a sicilian family, i like to do things the old-fashioned way... but with my own touch. it all started when i was probably 6 or 7, rolling up yarn balls out of what seems like millions of yards of yarn, to crochet chains the length of the house while watching vhs tapes in my living in downtown new haven. i had always admired my nonna's knit creations - and it fascinated me that she had the ability to make a strand of string into dresses and sweaters that will be passed on for generations. one sunday dinner, i asked her to teach me, and she instantly gave me most of her knitting needles, and tried her best to explain with her broken english. i took knitting into my own hands, and taught myself between sunday dinners to show her some of my progress. starting in high school, i knew i wanted to have my own shop with my knit designs one day, so i took every sewing & fashion design course i could to further my experience. i started to realize what life had in store for me,
