jeev subramaniam memorial educational trust ("jsmet") was founded in 1992, by the pillai family to perpetuate the memory of their parents late shri. subramaniam pillai and late smt. jeevratnam pillai and their collective desire to provide formal, affordable and quality education to children from the lower income groups. jsmet has grown over the years with various educational institutions in pune under its aegis providing quality education to almost 3000 students coming from diverse economic, social, linguistic backgrounds. the educational institutions are government recognized, permanently unaided, linguistic minority, private institutions, being run under the name of "sungrace schools & jr. college", in accordance with the maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary education (s.s.c and h.s.c board).
