formed in 2019, sunrise corner economic development & tourism is a partnership of the rural municipalities of piney and stuartburn in southeastern manitoba. our goal is to improve the economic well-being and quality of life in our communities by creating jobs and supporting and growing incomes and the tax base. we have structured our efforts around four pillars: tourism, existing business expansion, agriculture/forestry/industry, and home-based jobs and businesses. we support local businesses through strong relationships with organizations like piney regional chamber of commerce, community futures triple r, and eastman tourism, among others. in today’s ever-changing world, many people are now thinking simpler just might be better and are looking for alternatives to the big cities. what does living in sunrise corner mean to residents? life is a bit simpler. the pace is a little slower compared to larger centres. you get to know your neighbours. local businesses support volunteer-run c
