sunrise is a huntington based family owned multi-media company. it was established in 1975 with the acquisition of 68 standardized billboards in nassau county. over the years, sunrise has grown to nearly 140 billboards in nassau and suffolk counties and is the largest outdoor billboard company in this market. nassau and suffolk counties rank as the 12th largest market with effective buying income of in excess of $150,000. as a result, sunrise is able to attract large national advertisers into the market and has created an advertising base consisting of over 1000 clients. in 2001, sunrise had a vision to create more advertising opportunities in its market, specifically in sunrise's much adored town, huntington. it is here where sunrise operates a bus shelter advertising business under the supervision of the town of huntington.
