the sunshine coast chamber alliance formed in 2009 when committee members from various chambers of commerce across the coast came together and have been meeting regularly since then. the sunshine coast chamber alliance has over time gained a wider perspective on business matters across the coast and taken this knowledge back to its local members. in 2016, business owners and chambers of commerce across the region were surveyed for their feedback on the future role of the sunshine coast chamber alliance. we listened to members in small communities and the bigger coastal towns. a common concern was the limitation of access to information and support when you are unable to leave your place of business to attend events, whether that be for training or attending committee meetings. that has led us to an exciting new development – the sunshine coast chamber alliance website – a central information hub for local businesses, those doing business and investors to the region.
