Sunshine Frere

sunshine frère is an inter-media artist based in canada. she has an ma in interactive media from goldsmiths, and a bfa in studio arts and electroacoustic studies from concordia university. frère’s artistic practice is cross-disciplinary and interactive. her work has been exhibited in canada and europe. she is also a writer and curator. frère regularly works within local, national and international art communities. she currently sits on access gallery's board, she is the general manager for other sights for artists'​ projects and the curatorial programmer for the new media gallery. from 2014-2017 frère was the visual arts writer for vancouver is awesome and from 2012-2015, frère was the programming chair on the board of the contemporary art society of vancouver. in this role she programmed artist talks, multiple collection visits and exhibition tours.
