sunwise is a spin-off of university of genoa (italy). the idea proposed by sunwise lets the real-time monitoring of the actual energy production of a photovoltaic plant, detailing each single string of photovoltaic modules. the main added value, respect to existing commercial solutions, is the use of the wireless communication technology, in order to avoid the cost of cabling and to reduce the cost of installation, even for retrofitting already existing plants. moreover, the wireless communication lets to reduce the problems related to electric isolation, and to avoid damages to the plant. the proposed solution is composed by a set of sensing devices transmitting data from field sensors to a common data sink. each sensing devices is equipped by modules for signals conditioning, data acquisition, and radio transmission. the acquired data includes: single string current, voltage, and the environmental data (solar radiation, environment and panels temperatures). the monitoring activity le
