ο super fm 104,3 ιδρύθηκε το 1989 τον ιανουάριο. είχε προηγηθεί μία ολόκληρη προεργασία από το 1988 το καλοκαίρι. τα studio «φιλοξενήθηκαν» στις εγκαταστάσεις της εφημερίδας «ελευθερια», της οποίας ο εκδότης κώστας καλτσής ήταν μέλος της εταιρίας και ο πρώτος διευθυντής ενημερωτικού προγράμματος. η πρώτη εγκατάσταση του πομπού και της κεραίας ήταν ο χώρος λίγο πιο πάνω από το χωριό λιγγιάδες. το φεβρουάριο του 1989, ξεκίνησαν οι πρώτες δοκιμαστικές εκπομπές, τις οποίες αγκάλιασε ο ηπειρωτικός λαός με ιδιαίτερη αγάπη. από τον οκτώβριο του 2000 νέοι ορίζοντες ανοίγουν στον super fm. συνεργάζεται με τον super sport fm αθηνών και αρχίζει να «μπαίνει» και σε ένα άλλο χώρο που είναι ο αθλητισμός. αυτή είναι η υφή και τα προγράμματα του super sport fm και αυτά φιλοξενεί ο super fm, ορισμένες ώρες το 24ωρο. από τον μάιο του 2003 ο super fm προχωρά σ' έναν ακόμη πρωτοποριακό τρόπο ενημέρωσης του κοινού του, αλλά και των απόδημων ηπειρωτών με τη δημιουργία ιστοσελίδας στο internet, που παρουσιάζ
