carolyn whitehead, the principal and coach at joblife, established the business with a very simple focus: to help people prepare for a lifetime of successful employment. in her 20 years in hr, carolyn observed that many applicants have a poor understanding of what employers expect and have had little to no coaching regarding job readiness skills. factor in the rapidly and constantly changing nature of work in the 21st century, as well as our more technology-reliant lifestyles contributing to the erosion of face-to-face and interpersonal skills, and it’s little wonder that many people are unprepared for a life in the workforce. joblife aims to provide a service to young people about to head out into the world of employment (via super teens, a targeted course for school-aged adolescents), slightly older people in the early stages of their working lives, those preparing for a career change or returning to the workforce, and employers. many of the core concepts at the heart of joblife
