Superfast West Yorkshire

superfast west yorkshire and york is a partnership between the five west yorkshire local authorities, wyca and the city of york council, leading the investment in connectivity to deliver economic and social benefits. the programme, now in its second phase has secured over £19.5 million of new investment to improve coverage and access to superfast fibre broadband across west yorkshire and york over the next two years. locations expected to be included in this phase of the roll out include business parks, urban and rural areas not currently served by a fibre broadband network. funding includes £6.9 million from the bduk superfast extension plan and £3.49 million from bt. wyca and the local authority partners provided additional investment to support the delivery and resource for the day-to-day running of the project. the programme has secured £6.89 million of funding from the england european regional development fund as part of the esif growth programme 2014-2020. the department for com
