Superior Adult Learning

since 1987, superior adult learning (formerly “program read”) has helped adults in our community build the literacy and basic skills they need to gain confidence, improve independence, and secure employment. we are a non-profit organization, led by a volunteer board of directors, a small team of employees and volunteer tutors. we offer instruction, tutoring and self-directed resources to help learners develop key competencies that are important in everyday life, including: - finding and using information - communicating ideas and information - understanding and using numbers - using digital technology - managing learning - engaging with others we work with learners to confirm long-term independence, employment, and/or education goals. we: - assess each learner’s essential skills - develop an individualized plan to help learners build the skills they need to achieve their goals - provide individual and small group instruction and tutoring based on a learner’s plan. - assess learners’
