sls, formally known as superior labor services, started as a contract labor company by dan falgout in 2001. its mission was to supply contract labor (welders, fitters, tackers, blasters, painters, and helpers) to support shipyard operations. since, we have experience in processing large groups of laborers for various projects including shipyard, oil and gas projects, and disaster relief operations. while labor was the core of the business for many years, its our blasting and painting operations have continued to grow and developed into a very successful division. we operate a topside facility in houma where we service many barges and have generated a successful reputation for internal and tank projects. we also contract our blasting and painting for repairs and new construction in many shipyards in the houma area including thoma-sea, gulf island, enterprise, crosby, rsi, and conrad. we are particularly proud of our relationships with the various coating companies providing paint and in
