a brief history alan hulva, of oklahoma city, introduced superior products to the oil and gas industry in the mid 1990’s. during his travels, alan, a casting salesman at the time, saw the need for another chemical pump manufacturer in the industry. he decided to replicate, and sell models of the chemical pump manufactured by western chemical. alan hulva sold superior to wellmark, inc., also located in oklahoma city. wellmark then approached dds investments two years later to purchase superior. after brief negotiations in 2000, the superior gas product line and the wellhead choke line, were purchased by dds investments. the superior product line continued to expand, and dds continued to introduce additional product lines in order to meet customer needs. items such as ball check valves, bird cages, and gauge cocks were included. then, in 2008, dds investments added its current pipeline closure product line from circor energy products. this purchase substantially increased the size and pr
