supermaggie is an art driven apparel and home accessories design company run by partners maggie kleinpeter and michael pittard. maggie is the inspired designer and creator and michael makes the business hum. the company creates and manufactures several lines of edgy art inspired products, including women’s and men’s apparel, pillows, greeting cards and wall art. supermaggie was founded by maggie kleinpeter in new york city in 2001. after receiving an mfa in painting from nyc’s hunter college maggie became involved in the emerging indie fashion and diy american made craft scene. in the beginning maggie made handmade felt scarves and jewelry and sold them at street markets in nyc and at renegade craft fairs across the country. later she began designing and making apparel - tees, tops and dresses and other accessories. other lines followed, including greeting cards, home accessories and art. participation in national trade shows such as new york international gift fair, d&a and
