created in 2020 as a non-profit organisation, the superyacht eco association, was established by the yacht club de monaco and credit suisse, under the aegis of the ‘monaco, capital of yachting’ initiative. we created the sea index co2 rating tool, which is an easy-to-use, unbiased, fully tested & robust evaluation system to calculate the carbon emissions of superyachts over 40m. we aim to promote the principality of monaco as a center of excellence and innovation and encourage research to reduce the environmental impact of superyacht co2 emissions.
