the idea of scv arose 12 may 2014 by the founders and formally launched in june 2021.we look back to our nation’s history with pride as sierra leone as experienced huge amount of challenges since her independence in 1961.on a frequent basis, we have experienced many types of human crisis (e.g. civil war 1991-2002,ebola outbreak in 2014,mud/landslide, flooding and covid 19 outbreak) putting the needs of our children at risk. every day, we are building on our legacy with the goal of making a greater impact for children, the future leaders of sierra leone. therefore, scv was founded in the northern part of sierra leone, namely in the makeni bombali district. scv is towards helping deprived, excluded, vulnerable children (e.g. orphans, street children, disable led and children mental health) have the opportunity to a good quality life and to become just leaders of the future of sierra leone, who brings lasting and positive change to the nation. our mission is to develop a strong community
