Supporting an Education Reform Agenda for Improving Teaching, Assessment and Career Pathways

seratac is an eight-year multiphase approach, funded by the world bank and implemented by the palestinian ministry of education, to prepare students to contribute positively and productively to their communities and the society. the program addresses key education challenges in palestine and seeks to improve education outcomes of primary and secondary students, and increase student pathways leading to tertiary education. the program works on three key pillars: (1) arabic language arts instruction in grades 1-4, and the promotion of positive school climates, (2) strengthening science, technology, engineering and math skills through improved pre-service and in-service teacher training and the roll-out of an adaptive learning initiative, in addition to developing a career guidance system to help secondary school students make informed career choices; (3) in addition to strengthening students assessment system to gradually reform the secondary school examination to make more inclusive pat
