طبق آیین نامه شورای صنفی دانشجویان دانشگاههای کشور این شوراها (محافل دانشجویی) برای تقویت مشارکت، همفکری و تصمیمگیری دانشجویان درمسائل صنفی (مانند امور تغذیه، خوابگاه و اسکان دانشجویان و خدمات دانشجویی) و حفظ و پیگیری حقوق دانشجویان تشکیل شدهاند. اولین دوره انتخابات صنفی در دانشکده علوم ریاضی در اسفند ماه سال ۱۳۷۸ برگزار و اساسنامه آن نیز به همه پرسی گذاشته شد. در اساسنامه شورای صنفی دانشکده علوم ریاضی ذکر گردیده است که اعضای این شورا از ۵ نفر عضو اصلی و ۲ عضو علیالبدل تشکیل شده و آنها وظایفی مانند پیگیری مسائل آموزشی، تاسیساتی، فرهنگی، ورزشی، مالی و…. بین خود تقسیم نموده و سعی در رفع مشکلات موجود در آن زمینهها و بهبود شرایط موجود در آن ابعاد از دانشکده را دارند. همچنین شورای صنفی یک واسطه میان دانشجویان و مسئولین دانشکده میباشد و یکی از وظایف آن، بعد از تلاش دانشجویان برای رساندن مشکلات خود به گوش مسئولین، انتقال نظرات و انتقادات دانشجویان نسبت به مسائل جاری در دانشکده است. راههای ارتباطی با اعضای شورای صنفی: از کانال “بله”، تلگرام شورای صنفی @sharif_senfi_mathcs، ایمیل شورای ص
