student employment office (seo) opened in the fall of 2013 with initial service to undergraduate students and graduate students with federal work study. as a department under student financial service, seo serves as the only resource for the federal work study program, and the number one resource for non-work study student employment jobs. we are the bridge between school departments and student employees. through managing job postings, placement processing, and assisting students with the employment search, we supported over 1,500 students with work study and over 1,800 students without work study in 2015. we encourage students to excel in their employment career in addition to their academic success. the seo participates in the annual national student employment week by organizing a series of activities to express our appreciation, and to celebrate our student employees. we also award the uvm student employee of the year. in addition, we provide trainings and workshops for supervisor
