Jesuit Conference

jesuits around the world are organized into 91 geographic areas called provinces governed by a provincial superior who is appointed by and reports directly to the society’s superior general. although each province has its own administrative headquarters, the seven provinces of the united states and two provinces of canada are organized into a conference to promote common goals and oversee international projects. the jesuit conference of canada and the united states offices in washington, dc provide liaison staffing among the nine provinces, various national associations and the international headquarters of the society of jesus in rome.
