wilford & dean provides building and maintenance services for heritage properties. having worked on many listed and even iconic buildings in the home counties region, we intend to use this page to share photographs, facts and achievements that appeal to those who enjoy history. wilford & dean is part of newport pagnell construction, a business that’s as old as the imperial barge built for napoleon, and that was set up in the days depicted in pride and prejudice. this business has been named after the men who exerted the most influence and who led it for 185 years. charles wilford established it in 1810 and then passed it down through his family. during this period it was known as the wilford brothers. in 1972 it became newport pagnell construction and was led by mike dean as managing director from 1976 until 2015.
