our long experience of supplying the footwear manufacturing industry with lining and upper fabrics, both technical and decorative, has made us one of the leading suppliers in the world. shortly after our company was founded in 1948, in the town center of pirmasens, a move to larger premises was necessary to cope with the abrupt increase in the volume of business. in 1971, further expansion was necessary and we moved into our present location in erlenteich 65 (see picture). from that point on wilhelm textil has concentrated on the international market, and the result has been the establishment of wilhelm textil production and distribution centers in portugal (1988), hungary (1991) and italy (1998). this only represents our european expansion. wilhelm textil also began production in new delhi/india (1994), as well as many partner agencies throughout central and south america. through all this expansion we have made certain to maintain our commitment to our customers, providing the qualit
