i was 15 when i first became enamoured with photography. my first boyfriend had an slr camera and a darkroom. standing in his darkroom i was fascinated by the way images emerged. how the past was brought back to life again. i made up my mind to become a photographer. i managed to get a job as an assistant at a photography studio in stockholm. by the age of 23 i was head of the studio. but i wanted to continue my development. so i applied to join the swedish equivalent of the csi where i learned to observe even the minutest of details. to try to capture things you could barely see with the naked eye. i took courses in lighting design for advertising and commercial photography in basle, switzerland. i won both national and international prizes. it was an exciting time. but i missed the light, the joy, the warmth. so my next move was massive. from murders to marriages. i launched kicki fotograf as long ago as 1984 specialising in wedding portraits, advertising and information. for three d
