born and raised in southfield, mi music entered my life at a very young age. i began playing cello at age 4 and continued to play through high school. i was very lucky to attend an elementary and middle school where music, theatre, and other arts were highly encouraged. it was there where i performed my first role, as the head of the quilting club in “sam johnson and the blue ribbon quilt” in the first grade. at 9 years old, i had the opportunity to sing with canadian children’s singer bob schneider as one of his rainbow kids for 2 consecutive years. it was in high school when i really decided to focus on theatre. after a summer study at western michigan university, i was one of 2 students offered immediate placement in their musical theatre program. ultimately, i decided to go to the university of arizona and received my bfa in musical theatre. while at ua i was a member of arizona repertory theatre, the conservatory program, and president of theta alpha phi, the theatre honorary frat
