ya´ja is a brand that continues ancestral legacy by transforming the traditional bag into a piece of art. we offer you handbags ready to wear anytime you want to. by reinventing colombia’s ethnical ancestral bags into modern handbags, ya´ja preserves the original crafts, symbols, shapes, and patterns. ya´ja re-built the technique by mixing different skills and materials to create new designs. for our alma collection, we use natural wool, fique (natural plant-fiber) and colorful threads. the designs embody symbols from our ancestors' cosmovision, and we combine the raw materials with a sparkle provided by studs, sequins, and fine rhinestones.
