yancey arts consulting (yac) is a new york-based consulting firm that provides expertise for not-for-profit arts and culture organizations. by helping not-for-profit organizations move beyond sustainability (sm), organizations adopt operational practices that will sustain the long-term viability of their institutions. yac’s strategic consulting services include fundraising/revenue generation, strategic and business planning, board training and development, project management, capital campaign planning, marketing plan development and on-site and virtual trainings for board members and staff. yac also offers editorial services, phone consultations, prospect research and proposal writing for individuals and organizations. founded in 2009, a sampling of yac’s clientele includes the national jazz museum in harlem, bedford stuyvesant restoration corporation, center for media justice, apollo theater, cultural equity group and national black arts festival.
